UCB Volunteerism Featured in Atlanta Magazine

  • Posted by Katelyn Snider, U.S. Communications and Public Affairs

Featured in the December issue of Atlanta Magazine, UCB provides 32-hours of paid time off to employees to use volunteering in their communities.

Here within the walls of the UCB office, employees have coined the phrase: “What will you do with your 32?” Thirty-two – the number of hours UCB provides full-time U.S. employees in paid time off to volunteer in their communities.

With a large office in the Atlanta area, many of UCB’s volunteer activities are focused in the community. Volunteer hours are used to support local organizations building a stronger Atlanta, such as Georgia chapters of the Epilepsy Foundation, Arthritis Foundation, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, National Parkinson’s Foundation, Carter Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Hands on Atlanta, Canine Assistants, the Atlanta Science Festival, and the American Red Cross.

UCB was included in the December issue of Atlanta Magazine covering the “Best of Atlanta” in a special section highlighting our employee activism within our community through the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta. As an active member of the Council, Vickie Meske, UCB’s Coordinator of Communications and Patient Engagement, was recognized as the 2017 Volunteer of the Year by the Board of the Council. At UCB, we remain committed to supporting the communities where we live and work.
