Bringing Human Connection to Immunology Patients During COVID-19

UCB has been making ongoing adjustments to ensure continuous care for patients, including people living with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases during this time of great isolation. Hear more from UCB's Head of U.S. Immunology, Camille Lee, about our efforts to better support patients during this time.

We have heard from a number of patients that they are craving human connection and are grateful when they can talk to a “live person,” even virtually. We have seen this firsthand through an increase in nurse support line calls for one of our treatments for multiple chronic inflammatory conditions. Through this program, nurses provide one-on-one, personalized virtual support to patients, including stress management and wellness tips, education and training, and help with uninterrupted access to prescribed medications. To speak with a nurse, call 1-844-UCBNurse (1-844-822-6877) or text CONNECT to 87522.

We also understand some patients are facing hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic and may experience difficulty affording UCB medicines due to job loss, job furlough, or loss of insurance coverage. Staying true to our core beliefs, UCB is committed to helping ensure patients, whose physicians have prescribed our medications, have uninterrupted access to their needed treatments. These are just a few of the ways we’re working to meet patients where they are during this time. To learn more about how UCB is prioritizing the health and well-being of patients and our communities, go here.
