Emergency Preparedness This Hurricane Season

June marked the beginning of the 2018 hurricane season. Natural disasters – like hurricanes—can hit anywhere, any time. For someone living with a chronic disease, preparing for a disaster goes beyond just securing life and property—one must consider how to maintain access to much needed medicines.

UCB takes our responsibility to help patients prepare and recover from these types of disasters seriously. Ahead of the storms, our solution support center, UCBCares®, ensures support is available to respond to affected patients and providers during the hurricane season. UCBCares® associates are experienced customer care specialists specially trained to deliver an exceptional caring experience with a solution mindset. To connect with UCBCares, call 1-844-599-CARE (2273) or visit:http://www.askucbcares.com/contact-us

During the 2017 hurricane season, UCB responded to get our products to those in affected areas through coordination with local infusion centers, pharmacies, hospitals and physician offices to maintain continuity of care for patients. UCB also donated multiple formulations of neurology products to sustain patients until pharmacies reopened in Puerto Rico by coordinating with an agency that works in the affected area. Further, as a longtime supporter of the American Red Cross, UCB committed additional corporate funds and offered employees ways to support relief efforts.

Stay prepared for any kind of disaster – hurricane, tornado, fire – by saving helpful resources for accessing needed medicines:
