UCBCares^® is UCB, Inc.'s single source solution center in the U.S. dedicated to providing exceptional caring experiences and solutions for all incoming inquiries to UCB from patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.

The UCBCares team is made up of specialists who are specially trained on UCB products and disease states, product safety and quality, financial assistance programs for UCB products, providing patients solutions, and many other issues that occur daily from the interactions with customers. 

In 2017, UCBCares managed about 16,000 inquiries – split almost evenly between inquiries from healthcare providers and patients/caregivers. Additionally, UCBCares supports more than 18,000 patients in the UCB Patient Assistance Program.

UCBCares always aims to meet the needs of patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers and recently evolved its structure to create greater flexibility and agility, and to align with evolving needs internally and externally. UCBCares receives positive customer feedback scores year after year, and this evolution is intended to support that trajectory and deliver maximum value through the solutions provided. 

UCBCares takes seriously their responsibility to help patients even if it requires ‘out of the box’ decision making. In a recent example, UCBCares ensured support for affected patients and providers needing UCB products during the tumultuous 2017 hurricane season. The team not only kept support lines open 24/7, but they also responded to the aftermath through expedited medication transport for patients in need through coordination with local agencies. When contacted by FACES* (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures) about a cargo plane to go to Puerto Rico, UCBCares worked with supply chain colleagues to supply our products that were needed to be included in the transport.
