Committed to Advancing Science and Delivering Value for Patients

With more than 90 years of innovation, at UCB, we come together every day to work, laser-focused, on a simple question: How will this create value for people living with severe diseases? Whether it be working toward sustainability, expanding our impact across the U.S. and the globe, or discovering new ways to improve the lives of patients, UCB is continually focused on unlocking solutions for severe diseases that have significant unmet needs. By putting patients at the heart of everything we do, we enable people to live their best lives, delivering impactful solutions that patients value.

With a team of approximately 8,300 employees and operations in nearly 40 countries, diversity of ideas and backgrounds are not only encouraged, but admired. Although we each have our individual differences, UCB colleagues share the same ambition to transform the lives of patients living with severe diseases through innovative solutions. That’s because patients have been, and always will be, our central, driving force. From discovery to development to delivery, how we do business has been transformed and redesigned around the patient and their individual experience. Patient value is not just what we say, but how we live. It is our culture of care, embodied by our Patient Value Strategy.

Patients depend on the important work of scientific research to discover new medical innovations that will help them achieve their goals. As such, each year, UCB invests approximately a quarter of our revenue in research and development. Our approach to innovation keeps patients at the center. We use patient insights to inform our science to build solutions to deliver to patients. Innovation is ongoing as we continue to find solutions to meet the unmet needs of patients.

In addition, UCB has prioritized sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) within our company objectives. We’ve worked to minimize our environmental footprint across our entire company by decreasing CO2 emissions, reducing energy consumption, conserving water, and reducing waste. Serving others is in our DNA at UCB – from committing to patients in our daily jobs to finding ways to make a difference in our communities through volunteerism. Each year, UCB employees get 32-hours of time off to volunteer their time at non-profits of their choice.

We believe, by fulfilling our commitment to patients, driving innovation, and providing patients a meaningful experience, more impactful solutions are on the horizon.
