Each year We Work For Health (WWFH) names a group of select members from across the biopharmaceutical industry Employee Champions. UCB’s Miguel Camargo was named a 2020 WWFH Employee Champion for his dedication to the industry, his teams, and patients.

Today, UCB announced seven U.S-based organizations received support from the UCB Community Health Fund managed by the King Baudouin Foundation in Belgium.

This week, UCB will present at AES2020, the American Epilepsy Society’s (AES) virtual meeting – one of the largest meetings of researchers, scientists, and advocacy groups in the field – where we are proud to showcase the work we have been doing with and on behalf of the epilepsy community. UCB will showcase 15 scientific posters highlighting the latest research on our epilepsy portfolio and pipeline.

This National Family Caregivers Month, we honor and thank the many caregivers that selflessly care for their loved ones each day. Kristi Lengyel, UCB’s Head of Healthcare System Strategy, knows firsthand the burden many caregivers feel when a loved one experiences a life or death situation. This Veterans Day, UCB is proud to highlight three of our veterans as they share their transition from the military to the civilian workforce, and what it means to be a veteran at UCB.

UCB is proud to have scientists like Cierra Spencer, PhD, who are driven and share our vision to create an environment that encourages innovation, expertise, and #diversity. Cierra shares the story of how she found her passion for the pharmaceutical industry and some advice for other women in science as they pursue their career. 

As the nationwide shortage of rheumatologists continues, UCB would like to encourage the development of future Thought Leaders in key areas of unmet need. By creating additional training opportunities for current rheumatology fellows, UCB hopes specifically to increase women’s health expertise in the rheumatology community. This program will support the year-long training of up to three rheumatology fellows ($100,000 each) with a specialized focus on women’s health-related issues, specifically in the context of inflammatory diseases.
